Despite playing a formidable duo on screen, it took a few months for Hasselhoff and Daniels to meet.
The pair first met at the show’s first Christmas party, this was when Knight Rider was already a well established hit on the small screen.

Hasselhoff once said in an interview:
“A guy walks over to my table and goes: ‘Hi I’m William Daniels, I play K.I.T.T.’ And I say: ‘Oh I’m David Hasselhoff and I play Michael.’ And he says: ‘Oh we have a hit don’t we?’ And that was our first conversation.”
