David Hasselhoff’s career started in the mid-1970s in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. But in 1978 he would go on to appear in Starcrash – which was a wonderfully terrible Italian Star Wars rip-off.
But Hasselhoff’s big break came when he was cast as the lead in Knight Rider back in 1982.

When he played Micheal Knight, Hasselhoff managed to win the hearts and minds of American school girls and their moms. Who can blame them?
Hasselhoff used his fame to launch a singing career in the mid-1980s, which became popular in Germany and Austria.
However, Hassellhoff’s soon switched things up with one of his most popular projects in the 1990s. He produced and co-starred in Baywatch, which aired for 11 seasons.
