8. Linus Roache (Peter Barlow in Coronation Street) – THEN
Before Chris Gascoyne took on the role of the troubled Peter Barlow, six other actors had already portrayed the character with one of them being Linus Roache, the real life son of William Roache -or as you know him, Ken Barlow!
In 1973, William decided to introduce his own son to the world of acting in the hopes that he too would build a career from it, and after two years of appearing consistently on the cobbles, Linus decided to take his own path which has taken him across the globe!
From 2008 until 2010, the actor starred in Law & Order as Executive ADA Michael Cutter before making a brief return to Corrie as Lawrence Cunningham.
Since then he has appeared in the popular historical television drama Vikings as King Ecbert of Wessex and as of this year the star is set to take on the role of Whit Peters in The Last Full Measure.
