Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) – THEN

Special Agent Gibbs has been an integral part of the NCIS since the show first began, commanding his teammates: Timothy, Nick, Ellie and Jacqueline with his signature patient, yet firm (t0 put it politely) leadership style. The no-nonsense agent only has to give you “the look” and you know that he means business. As quite the ladies man he’s had his fair share of romance, both inside and outside of the NCIS, although he hasn’t been very lucky in love, especially considering two of his wives were murdered!

Thankfully Mark Harmon’s real-life is nowhere near as violent and he has only had the one wife- actress, Pam Dawber- who he has been married to for over 30 years. Harmon has been in the television and film industry for over 40 years and has been one of the lead characters in NCIS since the show debuted in 2003 – it appears he has no plans on leaving soon either – woohoo! Also, fun fact- one of his sons, Sean, actually played a young Gibbs in several episodes of NCIS. Cute!
