Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) – THEN

Leon Vance took over as director of the NCIS after Shepard’s death. There is somewhat of an icy atmosphere between Vance and Gibbs at first, particularly when Vance spearheads the investigation into Shepard’s death. Even though it doesn’t seem like it, it’s revealed that Vance actually does care about the team when stands up for Abby after she’s been threatened by Alejandro Rivera. He’s had his fair share of close calls after almost killed in a bomb blast and being asked to resign, but somehow – he’s still standing!

Before appearing in NCIS Carroll was best known for his role as Dr. Keith Wilkes in the 90’s US hospital series from 1996 until 2000. Alongside playing Leon, he’s also voiced Silas Stone in the DC superhero film, The Death of Superman as well as in the sequel, Reign of the Supermen.
