She won an Oscar for Best Actress at the 2009 awards for her role in The Reader, after being nominated and missing out five times before. She received another nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 awards for her role in Steve Jobs; she might have missed out this time but she certainly turned heads on the red carpet. She chose to wear this $50K Ralph Lauren all- black gown, which- dare I say- looks a little bit bin liner- like?

Saoirse Ronan’s esteemed movie Lady Bird was up for FIVE awards, but awkwardly left the awards empty handed. She still ensured that all eyes were on her at the 90th Academy Awards, in this delicate pink Calvin Klein gown. She matched it perfectly with the satin Christian Louboutin heels and her fresh faced makeup look. It was a party in the back though with a bow bigger than Ronan herself! What do we think?
