Now we’ve made it to the creme de la creme- the priciest dresses to ever grace the Academy Awards. First is this lime green, satin gown donned by Nicole Kidman. Did you know she was actually paid $2 million to appear on the carpet in this? Just take a minute to imagine being paid to wear a dress? Whether you love it or hate it, I’d take just about anything for a payment like that; put me in a paper bag and call it a day! The embroidered Dior gown designed by John Galliano was paired with some decadent earrings, with a little side of Tom Cruise.

And taking the title for most expensive gown ever worn at an Oscars award is actress J- Law, who made her way past the paps in this $4 Dior Couture creation. The blush pink, embossed fabric did wonders for her pale complexion but I can’t imagine the stairs were easy to climb in it- at least she looked good while struggling! She was given the honour as the face of the brand, and we think she did it justice!
