Lauren Drain – THEN
Lauren Drain was dragged by her father, Steve, to join the Westboro Church and follow its teachings in 2001; she was a member until 2008 until she was kicked out after questioning church doctrine – but it’s okay, because she got a book deal out of it: she went on to write Banished, which chronicles her experience of being part of one of the most famous churches in America.
These days, Lauren is the definition of body goals – if muscly thighs are your sort of thing – as she’s a full time personal trainer and fitness model. Prior to this, she graduated with a degree in nursing and worked as a nurse for 9 years before succumbing to the calling of the treadmill and Instagram filters.
