Wilbur Turnblad (Christopher Walken) – THEN

Unlike his wife, Wilbur was extremely supportive of Tracy’s dreams to sing and dance, regardless of her size! And that’s why we loved him so much. He may have been “obtuse” as Velma called him but come on, he had some of the best lines in the film…and all of them just showed how loving he was. In one scene, he tells Tracy that “to be big, you have to dream big”. At the end of the film, he encourages Edna to dance saying “Do it now! Or forever wish you had” a.k.a his version of carpe diem! What’s not to love?

These days, Christopher Walken is still standing strong at the age of 75 and actively acting. He voiced King Louie in The Jungle Book film and is going to star in an upcoming comedy with Robert DeNiro!
