If there was a resident of the lane that was the absolute opposite of Andrew Van De Kamp, it was Julie Mayer. Susan’s perfect, perfect child, she was smart, beloved and considerate (think of a Gilmore Girls style relationship, but with the speech in slow-mo).
However, no one can stay flawless when surrounded by the chaos of the housewives. Later on in the series, Julie went off the rails, dropping out of med school, sleeping with married men and accidentally getting knocked up by a mate – truly the holy trinity.
In real life, Andrea Bowen has had a pretty steady career since Desperate Housewives, featuring in episodes of Scandal, King of the Hill, and the deliciously trashy film, GBF.
