Julie was Ross’s girlfriend at the beginning of season 2 and accidentally came between the biggest love story of the century – Ross and Rachel.
Julie came into the picture at the worst time – just when Rachel had come to terms with her feelings for Ross and was ready to declare them at last.
Julie and Ross met in grad school and were both palaeontologists. When they started dating, Rachel was seething with jealousy and intentionally tried to sabotage the relationship multiple times. Eventually when Ross discovered Rachel’s feelings, he ended things with Julie.
Actress Lauren Tom has focussed mainly on voiceover work since her time on Friends and has appeared on The Simpsons. She also had a role on The CW television series Supernatural.
