David (Hank Azaria) – Then
David a.k.a. ‘David the Scientist Guy’ was introduced in the first season as Phoebe’s love interest. They had to end their relationship when David moved to Minsk to continue his research. He returned briefly in season 7 for an episode and then left again, leaving Phoebe heartbroken.
When David returns for the last time, he tells Phoebe he loves her and wants a future together but at that point, Phoebe realises that she no longer loves David and chooses to be with Mike.
Hank Azaria, who is most well-known for his voice acting roles on animated TV show The Simpsons, has worked on various TV shows and films since his time on Friends and has won a total of six Emmys as well as a SAG Award.
