Snow fall in Cairo, Egypt – BEFORE
If you’ve never seen snowfall, it’s probably pretty exciting the first time it comes.
But the image of a snow-capped pyramid and camels trying to survive is a distinctly unnerving one.
In 2013, for the first time in 112 (apparently!) Egypt experienced a heavy snowfall – just in time for Christmas.
In a capital city that has – on average – less than an inch of rain in one year, precipitation in any shape or form is rare.
While Cairo was transformed into a glittery, winter wonderland after the storm, lots of less fortunate wildlife, dependent on warm temperatures, struggled to survive.
