Wildfire in Colorado Springs, Colorado – BEFORE
Wildfire seasons are becoming considerably more problematic due to climate change, with longer and drier conditions.
Colorado Springs was another victim of devastating fires spreading through the area in 2013 when at least 509 homes were said to be destroyed and 2 people were killed.
The fires were said to be fueled by high heat and winds: a catastrophic product of global warming.
The fires took a full nine days to be contained and burned 14,280 acres of land – making them the most destructive in the state’s history.
