4. Nocturnal animals have their sleep schedules reversed with bright lights during the night

Most of us will have visited the bat cave where the dark atmosphere allows the bats to come to life as if it were night time. But (if you’re like me) you’ll have wondered about when the bats get ‘daytime’. Surely, they can’t be forced to live in the night for their lives. Alas, the answer is that during the actual night the houses are lit with bright white bulbs so that the animals believe that it is day and thus encouraging them to sleep. This means that the animals can be awake during the daytime for visitors to gawk at but not all animals will adjust right away. A week is the amount of time animals are supposed to adapt in whilst some – like the honey bear- can take up to a month.
