9. Brett Favre – NOW
Brett Favre is an undoubted, almost untouchable legend of the NFL.
To give a little perspective on Favre’s uniqueness, he remarkably once made 297 regular-season starts in a row, not missing a game between 1992 and 2001. Ridiculous, right?
A Green Bay Packers legend, Favre was also the first quarterback to pass for 500 touchdowns, complete 6,000 passes, attempt 10,000 passes, and throw for 70,000 yards. Some of those records have since been surpassed by others, but those are still some hugely impressive stats.
In the years since his retirement in 2011, Favre has regularly carried out analyst work and was even asked to return to action for the St. Louis Rams in 2013.
Worryingly, Favre has also made public that he has suffered memory loss as a result of the heavy hits he received throughout his career.
