Halle Berry (2002)

As one of the highest-paid Hollywood actresses, Berry is no stranger to the red carpet. Back in 2002 Halle Berry was nominated for Best Actress after her portrayal of Leticia Musgrove in the heartwrenching film, Monster’s Ball. She went on to win the award and to this date is the very first African-American woman to win an Oscar in that category- you go girl! Her performance in the movie also won her Golden Globe, BAFTA & Screen Actors Guild nominations.

Hallee Berry hasn’t been nominated for an Oscar since her first win, although she was nominated as for a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her portrayal of a popular 70’s go-go girl suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder, in the movie Frankie & Alice. Most recently she starred in the romance film, Kings, alongside Daniel Craig.
