Daniel was drunk during the filming of some scenes, as his drinking spiralled out of control

Daniel Radcliffe admitted that his drinking became a problem during the filming for Harry Potter; even filming a few scenes drunk! His nightly alcohol-fuelled sessions meant that he was going into work drunk and it left him “dead behind the eyes”. It was the pressures of fame that drove him to to the bottle, reportedly going off the rails at 18 (when he was filming The Half-blood Prince). Passing out every night and rolling into work still inebriated made him worry about becoming a full-blown alcoholic; at age 20, he became a ‘recluse’ leading him to drink by himself at home. Being thrust into the limelight at age 11 and receiving criticism on your acting, behaviour and personal life is surely enough to make you seek comfort. Who needs that during puberty?!
