The German native was a no show at two of Chanel’s haute couture shows in Paris, fuelling concerns about his health.

The fashion company denied rumours, insisting he was just tired:
“Mr Lagerfeld, artistic director of Chanel, who was feeling tired, asked Virginie Viard, director of the creative studio of the house, to represent him.”
