Some of us wish we were skinnier; some of us wish we had thick, luscious locks; some of us wish that Hogwarts letter would come through the post any day now…but something we ALL wish? Having an extra few quid in the old bank account.
And it appears our favourite celebs were no different to us mere (skint) mortals – before hitting the big time, of course…
When we look at today’s glammed and glitzed celebrities on the big screen, we cannot help but envy them: with their designer clothes and Lambos and personal trainers…it’s easy to forget that they weren’t all born with silver spoons in their mouths.
Little did we know a handful of them were the ones shopping for 3 for £1 light bulbs in Poundland. The ones who were mopping up a broken jar of spag-bol sauce on aisle 6. The ones who slept on dirty mattresses on the floor before they could afford a Baldacchino Supreme (a bed with an interior made of 24-karat gold – I kid you not, it’s real).
You know what they say though: from humble beginnings come great things…and we are ready to put that to the test.
Worked like a charm
Life for this person wasn’t magical until she became the UK’s best-selling living author. Writing really helped her out and as she said through the voices of one of her major characters:
