Bel made short-lived appearances in The Bill, Benidorm and Little Dorrit, before going on to play Minnie in The Diary of a Teenage Girl, which won her an award at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, the actress entered a relationship with fellow actor Douglas Booth, who she met on the set of Mary Shelley.
