39. Don’t be afraid to say no!
When everyone you know has extravagant Christmas plans, it can be tough to choose between who to prioritise…you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings!
But Lauren says that saving money has to come first:
‘Once you set expectations, stick to your guns by committing to the people and parties that bring you the most joy. Don’t let anyone guilt you into doing something you don’t want to do.’
