Money Magpie Founder Jasmine Birles said that the time you choose to go Christmas shopping can make a difference to the price.
Timing is key
She said to the Metro:
‘The shops are remarkably quiet on Christmas Eve and if you go to the supermarket on that afternoon you’re pretty much guaranteed half price on turkeys (if there are some left), gammon, steak, speciality cheeses and party nibbles.’
