‘Ban the Luton Taliban’
“They were doing it outside Don Miller’s,” (a local bakery in Luton) he said and that’s when the EDL was formed.

During the heat of the argument, Tommy headbutted his fellow EDL member. The assault didn’t go without sanction: Tommy’s headbutt earned him 12 weeks of imprisonment.
11. The activist was banned from football for three years
Any devoted football fan (or their football-widowed girlfriend) will tell you that not attending one match feels like the end of the world (yes, there’s tears and tantrums to go with it). But Tommy was banned from watching his beloved Luton Town for three whole years.

This hard-hitting punishment was a result of Tommy’s integral role in a 100-man brawl, with fellow Luton Town fans. After chanting ‘EDL til I die’, it was unsurprising that tension was caused between other football fans and things kicked off pretty quickly.
12. This wasn’t his only punishement
As if the football ban wasn’t hard-hitting enough, Tommy was also sentenced to a 12-month community order, stating that he must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work – ouch!
