30. The art department start prepping for the trials in August
The art department are responsible for the design of the show- from the layout of the camp to the ridiculous cat costume Amir appeared in before being gently electrocuted, in an episode last year.

The workloads is so massive it begins in August, three months before the launch date in November.
29. None of the backstage departments wanted to be responsible for looking after the dunny
This is where things got a little tense. Surprise, surprise, none of the backstage departments wanted to take responsibility for cleaning out the rustic (read: mildly traumatic) camp toilet.

Eventually it fell to the ‘unit’-AKA site managers. Because we never see it on screen, the art department managed to wriggle out of it – like everyone’s least favourite housemate who manages to never clean the bathroom.
28. The crew get through a serious amount of food
The dunny might be enough to put you off your lunch, but that didn’t stop the crew in 2013. During filming that year, they got through 514 eggs and 15kg of bacon.
