12. The camp is built on a haunted burial ground

Ok, this one’s technically a lie. But when producers were originally setting up the camp, they thought they’d come across human bones…

They turned out to be ostrich bones from a local farmer. Probably just as well, it’s hard enough eating grubs and only having three pairs of pants, without being actually haunted as well.

11. One of the winners got a regular job out of it

Scarlett Moffatt (originally of ‘Gogglebox’ fame) played an absolute blinder after her jungle victory in 2016.

She managed to book a regular gig, hosting the ITV2 companion show, ‘I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp’.
