The restrictions started as early as the wedding itself…
Personally, I would’ve adored a royal wedding that went for a whacky theme like something from ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’. Sadly, Harry and Meghan played it safe and stuck to more traditional standards.
23. She wasn’t allowed to have bridesmaids made up of her girl squad
These traditional touches included a bridal party made up of children, rather than her squad.

Inevitably there were some disappointed pals, but fair play to them…those kids were absolutely ADORABLE.
22. Wear wedges
As this photo shows, Meghan’s not a stranger to a slightly informal shoe on occasions. Wedged shoes are another of the Queen’s random pet hates.

From what I understand, you get invited to an above average number of garden parties as a royal, so good luck navigating that smart-casual minefield without your trusty wedges to hand Meghan.
21. Stop glowing up
Kate Middleton gets her hair blow dried a staggering three times a week- pretty intense. There’s a certain joy in ditching the beauty regime and letting yourself go slightly feral a week or two, but this isn’t an option for someone so firmly in the public eye.
