– The word itself is German, meaning “double walker” or “double goer” and traditional stories equate doppelgängers to evil twins.
Sometimes doppelgängers are portrayed as ghosts and bringers of bad luck but, personally, having a look-a-like has its positives too! For example, send one off to replace you at work when you just can’t be bothered to go in. Especially on dreaded Mondays! It’d save you some sick days too!
