25. Oxygen masks only last 12-15 minutes
A bunch of conspiracy theorists claim that there’s nothing in them at all, that they’re all for show. Far be it from me to disagree with a someone sporting a tin foil hat and a metric buttload of passionate conviction, but the masks will provide you with 12-15 minutes of Oxygen.

That gives the pilot enough time to fly down to a comfortably breathable atmosphere, but airlines don’t want us to know the 15 minute barrier to reduce anxiety in nervous flyers.
