Tray tables on public transport are inherently infuriating. Whether too small, too low, or too wonky – they’re never quite what you need.
Whilst irritating, they’re rarely alarming. But the real reason the airline makes you put them up before you land is the possibility they would trap you in your seat in the case of a crash- scary stuff.
