26. Jack Duckworth: From soap to fantasy
Two years before real life actor Bill Tarmey passed away (2012), his Corrie character – Jack Duckworth – was poignantly killed off. When Jack died from incurable cancer, Corrie ventured from soap opera to the fantasy genre to mark an emotional end to both Jack and Vera Duckworth (Jack’s wife who passed two years before).
