For original Superman George Reeves, playing the hero took its toll on his career. Unable to find work the star spiralled into a deep depression, which led to his suicide.

After a night of self-indulgence, Reeves excused himself to his room which is when his guests and fiancée heard a single gunshot. This tragic suicide sparked “the Superman curse”.
14. Elizabeth Short: The Black Dahlia
The gruesome murder of aspiring actress Elizabeth Short A.K.A. ‘The Black Dahlia’ occurred in 1947 – to this day, her killer remains uncaught.

Short’s body was severed at the waist and abandoned in an empty lot. She had been posed, cut into a Glasgow smile and even cleaned by her killer.
15. Bob Crane: Beaten To Death
Hogan’s Heroes star, Bob Crane was beaten to death in his Scottsdale, AZ apartment; however the murder weapon has never been found.
