In 1924, two sailors were killed on board the SS Watertown when they were overcome by gas fumes in a freak accident. Their fellow sailors buried them at sea.

In the days that followed, the ghostly faces of the men were spotted in the waves following behind the ship, at which point the captain demanded photos to be taken.
