With fumes from thousands of cars and heavy ships in the docks, it’s no surprise that the air is so dirty!
35. Wigan
With the number of litter fines in Wigan falling over the last few years, it seems the town is getting to grips with its problems.
Or it just doesn’t care about being dirty, but the first point is probably more likely!

Instead of enforcement, they are now focusing on educating residents about litter disposal – which seems to be reaping rewards!

It’s only a village in Sussex, but Storrington has somehow managed to become one of the worst places in the UK for air pollution!
