Just like all people, Gino had to practice his craft to become truly excellent at it.
6. He had professional training
Like all chefs, Gino didn’t just walk into the business as good as he is.

Before he moved to the UK, he studied at the Luigi de Medici Catering College.
Learning as you go (hopefully)
Whilst studying, he toured around European kitchens and learnt all there is to know about cooking.

Some of the places where he spent time are the Perignon (a restaurant in Nice) and Sylvester Stallone’s Mambo King in Marbell! Ey up.
7. He was inspired by his grandfather
Gino often admits to be inspired by his grandfather, who was a chef on a cruise-liner:
“Everyone used to go to my grandfather’s house, it was the main focal point for all of the family’s activities… He loved making it (pizza). I remember he had a beautiful, round, wooden pizza oven which he’d use to make fresh bread and pizzas.”
