Another Wes Craven horror film, and another horrifying character inspired by a real life serial killer!
We all go a little mad sometimes…
So the film isn’t the scariest film, as it has some comedy in it and satirises the horror genre. Sounds good?

Well it would be if it wasn’t inspired by a real life case of the Gainesville Ripper in the 1990s
I don’t want to play this game anymore!
The real Gainesville Ripper murdered 5 students in Florida over 4 days, and was later found to have killed 3 other people previously.

This horrifying tale inspired Kevin Williamson to write the screenplay for Scream, and this real life back-story just made the film much more terrifying!
Ghostface
Thankfully it seems the character of Ghostface is all fiction, but the real story is enough to keep me awake at night!
