Spirit in a box
Of course the box turns out to contain an evil spirit, called a dybbuk, which does evil things.

As unbelievable as this story sounds, it is actually based on a true box and apparently true experiences.
eBay fame
The dybbuk box gained fame from being sold on eBay, with a horror story accompanying it. Nice freebie.

It’s this story and this box that formed the basis of The Possession, and strange events and occurrences have supposedly happened to those owning the box.
Suspicious boxes
Moral of the story here, be wary of any strange looking boxes, especially if they don’t seem to open!
