Mortuary to seminary
A mortician who doesn’t like his job (understandably) and who decides to enrol in a seminary. All sounds ok so far…

He then goes to Rome to learn about exorcism, where he is confronted with demonic possession.
The real exorcist priest
The film is based on a real priest, Father Gary Thomas, who starts off sceptical of exorcisms, but then becomes a believer.

He performed many exorcisms, and his tale was told in a book, which the film is based on.
Advisor
Father Gary Thomas even served as an advisor on set of the film, so I think we can say it’s fairly true to life! If you believe in exorcisms that is.
