23. Tommen’s suicide
Following Cersei’s destruction of the Great Sept using Wildfire, Tommen was left (quite understandably, to be fair) gobsmacked.
Boom
Tommen had always been a good, caring king – and he loved his queen, Margaery Tyrell.

Unfortunately for Tommen, Margaery and her family had been in the Sept during its destruction.
He’d hoped to unite the Crown and the Faith
The blast also wrecked Tommen’s plan to unite the Crown and the Faith – something he’d hoped would fix the unrest.

As a result, Tommen felt absolutely helpless. In a shocking turn of events, Tommen was seen to set aside his crown.
A true tragedy
He then clambered up onto the windowsill in his room and threw himself from the Red Keep’s highest floor. This was one of those completely unexpected moments that lasted a few seconds, and left everyone in complete silence.
