This was perhaps the most horrendous episode of Thrones to date. We all expected Robb to face repercussions for breaking his vow to Walder Frey, but I don’t think this is what any of us had in mind…
Literally the worst thing you’ll ever watch
Robb had, of course, vowed to wed one of Walder’s many daughters in return for being allowed to cross the Twins during the War of the Five Kings.

But this vow quickly disintegrated when Robb met Talisa, a healer from the Free City of Volantis.
Forbidden love
The two quickly fell in love, and married in secret. It wasn’t long before Talisa became pregnant.

Desperate to make amends with House Frey, Robb arranged for a replacement marriage between his uncle Edmure and Walder’s daughter.
Seriously hard to watch
Of course, we all know how the wedding feast ended. With virtually every member of the northern rebellion dead – including Robb, Talisa and Catelyn. Even to this day it makes for truly grim watching – especially seeing the gravely wounded Robb struggle towards his dead wife, and knowing what comes next.
