4. Jon Snow’s demise
When we were first introduced to Jon Snow, we all knew that he was going to play a big part in the show as a whole.
Curled hair and humble – what could be better?
Over the years, we watched him grow from a disillusioned young boy into a true man of the Night’s Watch – and eventually Lord Commander.

Everyone suspected that Jon was going to be the man to save Westeros from impending doom and the White Walkers.
He is known for facing down White Walkers
So when young Olly – a farm boy recruit of the Night’s Watch – informed Jon that someone had brought information regarding his missing uncle’s whereabouts, no one suspected a thing.

That was until Jon’s “brothers” took to stabbing him multiple times until dead. Many remember this moment as being utterly devastating – and making them wonder what the point of even carrying on watching the show was.
You know nothing…
It’s a good job then, that Jon returned in the next series with the help of Melisandre’s magic – another moment that shook the nation the its very core. Needless to say, we’re very happy that he’s back.
