6. Blickling Hall, Norwich

Built in 1616, this stately home is now in the care of the National Trust.

But it’s supposedly haunted by a very famous individual… Anne Boleyn – Henry VIII’s second wife.

Anne was of course beheaded at the Tower of London, at the order of her husband.

But every year, on the anniversary of her death (19th May), she’s said to return to Blickling Hall – headless. It’s thought that this was her birthplace.

5. The Ancient Ram Inn, Gloucestershire
