Ah, remember Julie Cooper? Marissa’s mum who was more concerned with her socialite status than her daughter at times? Oh, and don’t forget about when she married Caleb Nicholl, Kirsten’s father, aka Seth’s Grandad. It’s all very close-knit in Orange County.

Julie was played by none other than Melinda Clarke. Before The OC, she was most known her role as Faith in the TV series Days of Our Lives.

She also had a lead role on the TV show Soldier of Fortune, Inc, playing the character of Margo Vincent. By the time it came to acting in The OC, Melinda was no amateur to acting.

Following The OC, Melinda continued to act, but mainly in TV shows. She has starred in TV shows such as The Vampire Diaries, Dallas, and Gotham, acting with previous castmate Ben McKenzie.

8) Tate Donovan
If you ever wondered why the kids were so messed up at times, you just have to look at some of the adults and their decisions. Enter Jimmy Cooper, father to Marissa and once married to Julie. Jimmy caught himself in a lot of bother over fraud (classic) and nearly lost his family everything!
