Just a few years before ‘Fairytale: A True Story’, McGann appeared as Girard in a Disney adaptation of ‘The Three Musketeers’.

As well as a truly spectacular ginger wig, McGann gets a juicy sword fight sequence opposite lead Chris O’Donnell and pulls off some impressive fight choreography.

In 2016, Paul revised the classic tale when he appeared as St Pierre in the prime time BBC drama ‘The Musketeers’.

As well as these prime-time appearances, and his most famous work in ‘Hornblower’ and the ‘Alien’ franchise, Paul has appeared in some lesser known, cult classics.

In 2016, for instance, he featured in dark, improv-based comedy ‘Brakes’- imagine ‘Love Actually’ crossed with ‘Blue Valentine’. With a cult following and some critical acclaim (an impressive 87% on Rotten Tomatoes), it starred Mighty Boosh members Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett.

McGann’s Twitter presence is minimal but gathering momentum. His first tweet, simply reading “Hello…”, went out on Valentines Day 2018- you big flirt, Paul- so fans can keep their eyes peeled for updates on his ongoing work.
