Elizabeth Hoath switching it up

After doing battle with alien nanogenes, Hoath’s next notable credit was a real change of pace- appearing in thirty episodes of of ‘Family Affairs’, a sitcom on Channel 5. Perhaps the channel was trying to recreate the success of ‘Neighbours’, the iconic Australian soap that Channel 5 broadcasts to UK screens on the daily.

Sadly, 5 creation ‘Family Affairs’ never took off in the same way, and was axed shortly after Hoath was booked to play a regular role in 2005.

In 2008 she utilised her comic talents, this time in TV Movie ‘Bike Squad’, starring Mark Addy.

Bike Squad’s lead Sgt John Rook was played by comic actor Mark Addy, famous for his roles in ‘The Full Monty’ and ‘Atlantis’.

The film also boasted a performance Shameless’ Maxime Peake, who went on to star in ‘Silk’ on the BBC.

Having worked with Christopher Eccleston, Billie Piper, John Barrowman – and now these two – Hoath can definitely attest to having rubbed shoulders with some of the stars of the silver screen.
