Anna Chancellor aka Duckface

In another impressive booking, the casting directors of ‘Fairytale’ persuaded Anna Chancellor to appear for a tiny cameo.

“I do believe in fairies, I do, I do”- Chancellor popped up as Peter Pan

At some point or another we’ve all been dragged to a panto and been forced to interact, through gritted teeth. Why is it so excruciating? It’s just a bit of group shouting, but it feels like a slow death. Do it for the kids.

Maybe it would be slightly more bearable if Anna Chancellor popped up in your local panto, like she does in ‘Fairytale’ wearing the trademark Peter Pan green tights and definitely clinching OOTD in the process.

DUCKFACE

This was a pretty impressive booking, given Chancellor had recently bagged an iconic supporting role in quintessentially cringe Richard Curtis number ‘Four Weddings & a Funeral’.

The cast of this movie are continually ticking things off my bucket list, and Chancellor gets number 18 done in FW&AF, being left at the alter by Hugh Grant.

In 1995, Chancellor acted alongside another bumbling English dreamboat- Colin Firth- as one of the b*tchy Bingley sisters in ‘Pride and Prejudice’. In 2003, they worked together again in the Amanda Barnes led rom-com ‘What a Girl Wants’ and in 2007 they both appeared in the St. Trinian’s movie.
