Time to throw it back all the way to 1998 when two girls advertised their single father on a Santa Monica dating billboard; absolutely genius. A film about family, love, and loss, Billboard Dad was a true heartfelt classic. Now, 20 years since its release, the cast has gone onto great and amazing things.
So innocent yet so mischievous…
Maxwell Tyler was the kind of dad we all loved. Easy going, fun to be around and always there for his kids.

Portrayed by Tom Amandes, he was already acting before Billboard Dad was released. But since the film, his career has only skyrocketed.
I’m not like a regular dad, I’m a cool dad….
He’s been in a series of hit TV shows including Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy and Arrow.

He’s also turned his skills towards directing and has directed episodes in TV shows such as Hart of Dixie, Brother’s and Sister’s, and Everwood. Talk about an impressive resume!
He’s only aged a little….
It’s fair to say he’s come a long way since playing Maxwell Tyler. Although he’s killing it right now, he’ll always have a special place in our hearts for playing such a great dad. Ah, the nostalgia.
