We all have some kind of a story associated with the adoption of our dogs, right? Well, not too many people can say that their stories involve Ellen DeGeneres, but Meghan Markle can.

As the story goes, it was Ellen who convinced Meghan to adopt the dog that she adopted.

Meghan met Ellen at an LA dog shelter, while she was playing with one of the rescue dogs.

Ellen asked Meghan if the dog was hers to which Meghan replied negatively. Ellen instructed Meghan to “rescue the dog” which she ended up doing without a moment’s hesitation. After all, it was Ellen!

Meghan Markle met one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Serena Williams, at a charity event in 2014.
