Gemma Collins is grateful for all the support her boyfriend James Argent has given her since she started her training for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘TOWIE’ star is busy learning how to skate ahead of the start of the ITV show in January 2019 and she has had a big confidence boost from the support that her man Arg has given her.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the ITV Palooza event in London on Tuesday night (16.10.18), she said: “Training is all good, Arg has been really supportive about ‘Dancing On Ice’, everyone is saying whatever about me but I’m going to come out and smash it.”
Gemma insists she’s “in it to win it” and isn’t worried about the other celebrities in the competition such as ‘Love Island’ hunk Wes Nelson, former ‘X Factor’ contestant ‘Saara Aalto’, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Jane Danson, ex-Pussycat Dolls singer Melody Thornton pop star Brian McFadden and ‘Loose Women’ panellist Saira Khan.
She added:
“I’m doing really well, watch this space … Am I in it to win it? I’m ‘The GC’ baby, anything can happen, you never know.
“I’m a star, a star was born when I came into the world. There’s only one ‘GC’ I always tell Arg I’m a star baby! Think Beyonce for the routines!”
And Gemma isn’t worried about falling and injuring herself on the ice because nothing can compare to the terrifying moment when she fell through a trapdoor at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards last year.
She said:
“I’m not scared of falling guys, I’m alright if I fall a bit … Obviously, I’m not as fit as the others. You just sweat so much around the ice, but any fall compared to the Teen Awards is just not going to beat what happened there. If I can fall down a trapdoor at the Teen Awards I’m not scared to fall on the ice.”
