The body is good at fixing itself
We’re all aware that the body has an amazing capacity to repair itself. But just how good is it?
42. So many red blood cells
When you give blood, you’re often donating around 1 pint. Your body has around 9-12 pints altogether – so it’s quite a chunk!

Still, your body works wonders when it comes to replacing that blood. In fact, your body creates 2 million new red blood cells every second. The blood you’ve given can be replaced within a few weeks.
41. The body’s ability to heal is really good
Think back to a time you grazed or cut your skin. It scabbed over miraculously quickly, eh?

Well, that’s not the only thing your body can do. It also has blood clots and calluses surround a broken bone, enabling it to gradually heal into the right shape over time.
40. But teeth are tricky
Unfortunately for us, there are a few diseases the body can’t handle by itself. But then there’s also our teeth. You’ll probably have had a filling by now, or even a tooth removed. Well, that’s because once decay sets in, nothing can be done!
